Our machines will mow any grass surface up to 2 hectares (approx 5 acres). In order to improve their efficiency, you may be advised to adapt your mowing area.
Back to topThis machinery is capable of working on slopes up to 30%. Before installation, if need be, you may be asked to make some alterations: to grass over, roll the area, reduce the slopes so as to make movement easier.
Back to topBy its design, our equipment is equipped with responses that enable it to handle a whole series of events, even the most unexpected ones. However, it is a good idea to mark out some obstacles in advance: flowerbeds, ponds, etc.
Back to topMoveable obstacles (garden furniture, etc) do not need to be marked out as long as they are higher than 40 cm. However, in order to avoid the robots getting “trapped”, a prudent user will take additional measures and remove furniture and other obstacles (children’s toys, etc) from the area to be mown. Similarly, branches and pine cones should be removed from the mowing area in order to improve the operational life of the cutting blades. Stationary obstacles (trees, swimming pools, flowerbeds and clumps of trees, paths, etc.), should be marked using wooden stakes or be excluded from the mowing area by means of the boundary wire (creating “islands”).
Back to topThe boundary wire serves to mark out the robot’s mowing area. If need be, it can also be used for marking out specific obstacles in the area such as swimming pools, clumps of trees and flowerbeds, gravel paths, trees with exposed roots, etc.
Back to topDesigned to work day and night, Belrobotics’ robots are also designed to work in the rain. After a shower, it may however be a good idea to “clean” the sonar with a soft cloth.
Back to topProvided with extra safety features as compared with traditional mowers, we do however recommend not using Bigmow® and Parcmow® when children and pets are on your lawn. It is possible to programme a rest range on each day of the week when the robot will remain at its charging station.
Back to topNo, we recommend cutting the few centimetres at the edge of the grass using an edging device.
Back to topFrom sixty-five millimetres in the case of Parcmow® to a maximum of ninety-five millimetres for Bigmow®. In a situation where the height of the grass exceeds 10 cm, it will need to be mown with a traditional mower and the grass cuttings collected before setting the robots to work. We advise users who wish to, to gradually reduce the cutting height.
